St. Benedictís College has entered an exciting new stage of development. This year 2005, our GCSE results went up by just over 10% then 5 times the national increase in GCSE for 2005. At KS3 our results went up by an average of 15% again outstanding performance by both the pupils and staff. At KS5 ALL pupils who wished to access higher education were able to so. Pupil numbers have increased significantly in year 7, sixth form and across the school. Parents have great confidence in our school. St. Benedictís College is an inclusive school; we meet the needs of the whole spectrum of ability catering very well in university bound pupils so well as those who require extra help. Our recent Local Authority Inspection noted the high quality of Teaching and Learning in the school and the excellent relations between staff and pupils. St Benedictís College is an improving school because we really do believe that every child matters and put this into everyday action strategies that improve the education of students and inclusiveness of the school. Liverpool Festival of Performing Arts They perform either a poem, acting piece, music, singing, dancing or other things in front of a panel of judges to win a medal or cup. Gary Jones did exceptionally well bringing us back a bronze medal for his piece, "Liverpool Docks". The representatives said the day was very enjoyable. They performed again for the "Music Night", held in school, and they all did an excellent job, especially the first timers and we are very proud! |
